1. General Information

Welcome to Seoul Goodis’ website ("Site"). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms” or “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and the purchase of our subscription boxes and one-time boxes (the "Services"). By accessing the Site or using the services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Services. 

Age Requirement: To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms and to abide by all of the terms and conditions set forth herein.

Account Security: It is your responsibility to keep your account information and password confidential, and you are fully accountable for all activities conducted under your account.

Changes and Termination: We reserve the right to modify or update the products, services, and pricing information on our website without prior notice. We may also establish rules and limitations for using the website or restrict your access to specific sections or the entire site without advance notice. We reserve the right to discontinue the Site and its Services, as well as to update these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notification.


2. Subscription Plans and Billing

We offer different subscription plans for our boxes, and each plan renews automatically at the end of the subscription period unless canceled. When making a purchase, you must provide accurate and up-to-date contact information, including your delivery and payment details. You are responsible for notifying us of any address changes via email and updating your details on our website. Seoul Goodis is not responsible for delivery issues caused by incorrect information or the absence of a recipient and may deny refunds or additional shipping costs in such cases.

  • Billing: By purchasing any subscription, you agree that it includes an initial charge and recurring payments, and you accept responsibility for all ongoing charges until you cancel. Your subscription will automatically renew for additional periods at the current subscription rate. Charges will occur on the same day of the month as the original purchase date for recurring plans and when you subscribe, you consent to pay the associated subscription fee and permit Seoul Goodis (or our third-party payment processor) to automatically charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you decide to cancel. All charges will be billed in USD. We may adjust any part of the subscription fee, but we will inform you beforehand of any changes. You are liable for any fees charged by your bank or credit card provider. If a payment is returned, we may attempt to collect the amount through another method. Our shipping service does not cover mail forwarding, and any forwarding fees are your responsibility and will not be refunded. All payments for products and services are final and non-refundable.

  • Cancellation: You can pause or cancel your subscription anytime via your account dashboard and by contacting us at Hello@seoulgoodis.com. To avoid being billed for the next period, cancellations must be made at least 3 business days (KST) before the next billing cycle. Requests submitted fewer than 3 business days before the billing date will not prevent the upcoming charge, and no refunds will be issued. The cancellation will be applied starting with the next billing cycle after that payment. If you choose to cancel, this does not provide a refund for any payment that has already been processed, and your subscription will remain valid until the end of the current active subscription period. Please note that you may still receive promotional emails from Seoul Goodis. To stop these communications, simply unsubscribe from our emails.
  • One-Time Boxes: All terms regarding accurate shipping information, delivery responsibility, and payment finality also apply to one-time box purchases. One-time boxes are charged as a single, non-recurring payment at checkout. Payments for one-time boxes are final, non-refundable, and cannot be canceled once the order has been placed. Customers are responsible for ensuring that all delivery information is accurate and complete at the time of purchase. Seoul Goodis is not liable for issues arising from incorrect or incomplete shipping details, mail forwarding, or the absence of a recipient at the delivery address.


3. Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges

All sales fees and transactions are final and non-refundable. Due to the nature of our products (food and perishable goods), we do not accept returns or exchanges unless an item in the box is expired or damaged. In that case, please contact us within 7 business days (KST) of receipt for a replacement or refund based on availability. Returned boxes will incur an additional re-shipping fee, except when the return is due to our error. Boxes returned because of incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses are not eligible for refunds. We are not liable for any additional purchases made due to errors or mistakes before or after the purchase, and we cannot alter or cancel orders once placed. This policy may be updated at any time without prior notice and will apply immediately and retroactively to all subscriptions, purchases, and buyers.

Incorrect, Missing, or Damaged Items

  • Incorrect box: If the box you received does not match the intended box for your order, please reach out to us. Our team will promptly investigate the issue and provide a solution, which may include sending a replacement box.

  • Missing Items: If your box arrives intact but lacks one or more items listed in the magazine, report it within 7 business days (KST) of receipt to qualify for a replacement or refund based on availability.

  • Damaged Items: If your box arrives intact with all items listed but some items are damaged or expired (for perishable goods), report this within 7 business days (KST). We will review the damage and issue a replacement or refund for the damaged items, not including any packaging damage.

Eligibility for replacements on damaged items will be determined by our support team. Generally, damage to the outer box or product packaging that doesn’t impact the items inside will not qualify for replacement. Fragile items like cookies, chips, or chocolate that may break or melt in transit, as well as minor cosmetic imperfections (such as small scratches), may also not be eligible for compensation.

To expedite your claim, please include the following evidence:

  • Photos of all sides of the box.
  • Photos of all items received.
  • Photos of the damaged items, clearly showing the damage.

We will assess the photos and provide a replacement or refund, based on availability, for damaged items only as packaging damage is not covered.


4. Shipping and Delivery

How much does shipping cost?

We offer international shipping with rates that vary by destination, starting at $11.99 per box and going up to $16.99 per box, depending on where your order is shipped.

As we begin this journey with you, these rates reflect current international shipping costs. Our shipping rates are designed with care to be more accessible than many traditional shipping services from Korea, while still delivering exclusive perks, careful gift wrapping, and special goodies in every box.

 

My country isn’t listed at checkout. What should I do?

Currently, we rely on Korea Post for shipping, which allows us to deliver to select countries around the world. If your country isn’t listed, we invite you to become a part of our Goodi family and follow us to enjoy all the goodies we share with the world through our website and social media. We sincerely apologize and hope that in the very near future we will be able to invite all of you to join us in discovering the soul of Korea.


When does my box ship, and how long will it take to arrive?

Once you place an order, we’ll pack and ship it within 2–5 business days. For prepaid subscriptions (3/6/12 Month Goodi Plan), your first Goodi box will ship within this time frame, and following boxes will ship at the start of each month. 

Goodi boxes typically arrive within 7–14 business days, but due to weather, customs, or postal delays, please allow up to 20 business days before contacting support about a missing package.


My box has shipped, but it hasn’t arrived yet. What should I do?

If your box has shipped and you haven’t received it within the expected time frame, please check with your local post office first, as they will handle the final delivery. For any additional help, feel free to reach out to us at Hello@seoulgoodis.com.

Please note that if your shipment was unable to be tracked  by the carrier and goes missing in transit, we’re unable to offer refunds or replacements due to tracking limitations. However, if your package is returned to us by the carrier, we can arrange a reshipment with a reshipping fee covered by you.


Will customs delay my goodies?

Customs & Import Regulations

We strongly recommend reviewing your local customs and import regulations before placing an order, as customs procedures vary by country and may result in delays beyond our control.

All international shipments are subject to customs inspection and clearance by local authorities. Once customs clearance is completed, your package will be handed over to and delivered by your local postal service or courier.

Duties, Taxes & Customs Fees

Seoul Goodis is not responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, handling fees, or other charges imposed by your local authorities.
These fees are the sole responsibility of the recipient and must be paid in order for the shipment to be released.

Customs Delays & Liability Disclaimer

Customs clearance timelines are determined entirely by local authorities and may take longer than expected.
Seoul Goodis cannot be held liable for delays, holds, or non-delivery caused by customs inspections, regulatory requirements, recipient inaction, etc.

By placing an order with Seoul Goodis, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for complying with your country’s import regulations, paying any applicable customs-related charges, and responding promptly to requests from customs or postal authorities.


What if my shipping address is incorrect?

If you need to update your shipping address, please contact us at Hello@seoulgoodis.com before your Goodi box is dispatched. Once shipped, address changes can only be managed through your local postal carrier.


5. Product Descriptions and Availability

We make every effort to ensure that the information on the site and social platforms is accurate and dependable. But at times the site and social platforms may occasionally include pricing mistakes, typographical errors, or other inaccuracies, which we can correct without any liability. We also aim to provide accurate descriptions of all items included in our boxes. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of all products listed on our site and the specific contents of each box may vary based on product availability and seasonality. All items are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute items of equal or greater value if necessary. We also reserve the right to limit the number of items purchased by members and to modify, suspend, or end any event or promotion at our discretion, even after an order has been placed or confirmed.


6. Allergen Information

Seoul Goodis does not include specific allergen information for the products in our boxes. However, we provide general details about common allergens in the magazine included with each box. These allergens are based on the eight most common food allergens as designated by the FDA: milk, eggs, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, soybeans, fish, and crustaceans (including all shellfish).

While we make every effort to accurately identify and list common allergens, this information may not cover all potential allergens, and we cannot guarantee that any item in the boxes is completely free from allergens or other substances. Additionally, trace amounts of allergens, due to possible exposure during manufacturing, may not always be reflected in our provided details

By purchasing or consuming our boxes, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for managing any potential allergic reactions or other dietary considerations based on your personal needs or preferences. Seoul Goodis is not responsible for any adverse reactions related to the consumption of items in our boxes. This includes but is not limited to reactions related to allergens, intolerances, or any other dietary restrictions.


7. Service User

You agree to use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not:

  • Use the Services in any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized manner.
  • Engage in illegal, harassing, or harmful activities while using the Site or Services.
  • Upload, post, or share content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, user accounts, or networks.
  • Use automated methods to access, collect, or scrape data from the Site or Services.


8. Intellectual Property Rights

All content provided on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Seoul Goodis or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. When using content not owned by us, appropriate credit and referrals will be provided as necessary. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written consent. 


9. User Submitted Content

By sharing or uploading any content such as photos, videos, music, art, or comments, you grant Seoul Goodis a global, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, create derivative works from, display, and perform your content as needed for Seoul Goodis’ purposes. You are responsible for all content you provide and confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to grant these rights to Seoul Goodis, and that your content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights or violate any laws or regulations.


10. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seoul Goodis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your use of or inability to use the Services, even if Seoul Goodis has been advised of the possibility of such damages; (ii) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein. Seoul Goodis' liability to you will not exceed the total amount you have paid for your Seoul Goodis membership.

The Site and its Services are offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis, with no warranties or guarantees, either express or implied. We do not ensure that the Site or its Services will be free from interruptions, errors, or harmful elements like viruses. Additionally, we are not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content posted on the Site or shared through its Services. 


11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Seoul Goodis, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
